2024 A/L Exam Temporarily Suspended Due to Adverse Weather

The Department of Examinations has announced the temporary suspension of the ongoing 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination due to prevailing adverse weather conditions.

Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara, stated during a special press briefing held this evening (November 26) that the exams scheduled for November 27, 28, and 29 will be postponed.

The examination will recommence on Saturday, November 30, continuing as per the previously announced schedule. Meanwhile, the postponed exams will now be conducted on December 21, 22, and 23, respectively.

This decision was made to ensure the safety and well-being of students traveling to and from examination centers amid challenging weather conditions.

Students and parents are advised to stay updated through official announcements from the Department of Examinations.
