December brought with it a festive breeze, and with it came the much-awaited annual tradition Gavel X’ mas.
The event took place on December 21, 2024, in the library discussion room of the Faculty of Medicine, transformed into a festive heaven. More than 50 Gaveliers arrived in vibrant red, green, and black attire, perfectly complementing the theme. The room sparkled with a stunning Christmas tree, glowing decorations, and the uplifting sounds of holiday tunes.
This year’s gathering added an exciting twist to the usual Gavel meetings. Members were divided into four teams and competed in fun games like puzzles, lava walks, balloon-passing, and the much-loved finding Secret Santa.
The celebration ended on a high note with prizes for the winning teams, festive wishes, and an atmosphere brimming with happiness and togetherness.
A big thank you to the President Gv.Siyumi Wellappili, organizing committee heads Gv.Selanka De Silva and Gv. Kaveetha Palliyaguruge, and members for their hard work in making this event such a grand success.
