SHEvolve 2025: A Powerful Step Toward Change

AIESEC in University of Colombo successfully concluded SHEvolve 2025, a dynamic youth-led initiative focused on women empowerment, menstrual health, and gender equality, held on June 29th, 2025. The event saw an overwhelmingly positive response, with over 80 enthusiastic participants joining the Awareness Walk from Viharamahadevi Park, followed by an engaging panel discussion attended by more than 350 delegates at the University of Colombo.

The panel featured a remarkable lineup of industry experts and influential voices including, Ms. Anudi Gunasekara, Ms. Shanuki De Alwis, Dr. Chinthaka Banagala,Ms. Deshani Rathnayake, Ms. Umali Thilakarathne, Ms. Geilee Skandakumar, Ms. Nirodha Kalasooriya, Senuri Rupasinghe and Ms. Widya Kumarasinghe. Each session sparked meaningful conversations, encouraged open dialogue, and inspired action among youth. Adding to the excitement, the audience was treated to a stand-up comedy segment by Mr. Anderson Haran, leaving the room energized and inspired.

Delegates also received exclusive gifts and vouchers from SHEvolve’s supportive partners, making the experience even more memorable.

The event marked a major success in AIESEC’s journey to foster youth leadership and drive social impact. AIESEC in University of Colombo looks forward to organizing more impactful initiatives like SHEvolve, continuing to create spaces for learning, advocacy, and empowerment.
