The University of Ruhuna Gavel Club marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its 250th educational meeting with a vibrant and joyous event held at the Faculty of Agriculture. The occasion was filled with laughter, creativity, and unforgettable moments, reflecting the spirit and camaraderie of the club’s members.

The celebration commenced with a ceremonial cake-cutting, featuring a beautifully decorated cake that symbolized the club’s journey and achievements. This sweet beginning set a cheerful tone for the event and energized the participants for the activities ahead.
An engaging ice-breaking session followed, where members were divided into two teams. Team 1 initiated sentences with the word “If,” while Team 2 completed them with “Then,” resulting in a series of hilarious and imaginative statements that sparked laughter across the room.
The agenda continued with a storytelling challenge. Participants were paired up and provided with random words, and one member from each pair was tasked with crafting a story incorporating those words. The activity showcased the creativity and humor of the club members, producing entertaining and unexpected narratives.
In the final activity, participants remained in their pairs and were each assigned a new set of prompts an emotion and an object. Their challenge was to act out the object while expressing the assigned emotion. This segment quickly became a highlight of the event, with expressive and comical performances that left the audience in stitches.
The 250th educational meeting was praised for its seamless organization and lively atmosphere.
