In 2025, the Faculty of Education celebrates its Golden Jubilee, commemorating 50 years of excellence in promoting teacher professionalism and shaping the future of education in Sri Lanka. To mark the beginning of this historic year, a multi-religious blessing ceremony was held on January 1st, 2025, at the Faculty. Senior Professor (Chair) H.D. Karunaratne, the Vice Chancellor of the University, presided over the ceremony. This significant event marks the start of a year-long celebration, with a series of exciting activities and events scheduled throughout 2025.
