The 5th batch of the Masters Program in Bioinformatics, a joint initiative by the IBMBB and UCSC, was officially inaugurated on 7th March 2025. The ceremony was graced by Prof H D Karunarathne, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, who delivered the keynote address. The event saw the participation of the two Directors, several staff members from IBMBB and UCSC, and 37 new students who enrolled for the 2025 intake. The inaugural lecture was presented by Prof Erik Bongcam-Rudloff, a distinguished Professor in Bioinformatics at SLU, Sweden.
