The University of Kelaniya has appointed Prof. Hesiri Dhammika Weerasinghe as the new Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Technology. Prof. Weerasinghe, who holds a PhD and MSc from Oakland University, USA, and a BSc (Special) from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the role.
A renowned academic, Prof. Weerasinghe currently serves as a Professor in Computer Science and as the Head of the Department of Computer Systems Engineering. His appointment as Dean is expected to further enhance the Faculty’s focus on academic excellence, cutting-edge research, and technological innovation.
