SLIIT Hosts IFLA Workshop on Measuring and Demonstrating the Impact of Library Services

The International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA), a globally recognized organization for library professionals, recently hosted a transformative training program on “Measurement, Evaluation, and Demonstrating the Impact of Library Services” at the SLIIT Malabe Campus.Held on January 9th and 10th, this two-day workshop equipped SLIIT library staff with essential knowledge and skills to effectively plan, implement, and showcase the impact of their services. Dr. Premila Gamage, an IFLA Impact Trainer and Information Coordinator for the IFLA Regional Division for Asia-Oceania, led the session, volunteering her expertise for this important initiative. Library staff from Malabe, Metro Campus, Matara Centre, and Curtin Colombo participated actively in the workshop.Certificates of completion were presented to the participants by Prof. Samantha Thelijjagoda (Pro Vice-Chancellor – Research & International), Pushpamala Perera (Senior Librarian), and Dr. Premila Gamage.
