Building upon the remarkable foundation laid in previous editions, EVOLVE 2.0 returns this year with a renewed mission to inspire innovation and elevate student creativity. Organized by the undergraduates of the BSc in Physics and Electronics degree program at the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya, this initiative brings together school and university students in a dynamic fusion of research, problem-solving, and prototype development.
A key highlight of this year’s program is the introduction of EVOLVE 2.0 Jr., a school-level hackathon category designed to provide budding innovators with a platform to showcase their talents. The competition will be conducted in two phases, allowing participants to progressively enhance and demonstrate their skills.
All participants, across both categories, will benefit from dedicated awareness sessions led by industry professionals, aiming to sharpen their problem-solving abilities and equip them with guidance to take their innovations to the next level. These sessions are a stepping stone for young minds with aspirations to become future tech leaders, scientists, or industry experts.
